Job Summary
Hands-on electrical and electronic assembly role supporting the St. Mary’s or Ottawa facility. Build and integrate electrical harnesses and subassemblies; perform soldering (through-hole and SMD) to IPC standards; read wiring diagrams and schematics; inspect, test, and troubleshoot assemblies; support integration into larger hardware platforms; maintain build records and documentation; collaborate with engineers, quality teams, and colleagues to improve designs and processes; ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness; relocation assistance available; security clearance in Canada may be required; preferred experience in aerospace/space or high-reliability environments.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 1–5 years of hands-on electronics assembly/manufacturing experience (co-op/internship considered)
- Experience with cable/harness assembly and crimping tools
- Soldering proficiency (through-hole and surface-mount) to IPC or equivalent standards
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and basic test equipment
- Understanding of ESD practices and controlled work environments
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- IPC certification (preferred)
- Experience in aerospace/space or high-reliability industries (preferred)
- Security clearance eligibility in Canada (reliability status) and CGP considerations (required)
