Job Summary
Maintain test result reports, solder and manually assemble various electronic components on printed circuit boards, and operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position, solder, and clean prescribed components. Assemble microcircuits requiring fine hand assembly using microscopes while adhering to cleanroom procedures, then inspect assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements. Perform simple electrical and continuity testing, set up process equipment, and conduct life tests on components and subassemblies. Read blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to align and adjust parts, wiring, and harnesses to subassemblies. This role involves full-time, 40-hour weekly shifts across early morning, day, evening, and weekend rotations. Candidates must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid work permit, with a college diploma or one to two years of equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years
- English
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada
- Other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit
- Criminal record check
