Job Summary

Report and brief critical finds to military and DoD civilian leadership while capturing, characterizing, and identifying IED electrical/electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules. Analyze recovered components including switching circuits and power sources, visually identify devices, and develop accurate schematics. Demodulate and decode signals to extract intelligence data using standardized tools, perform Electronic Data Recovery on media storage devices, and produce storyboards and technical reports. Maintain and document chain of custody of items and data, and deploy to remote field locations to analyze devices or train partners in reverse engineering processes. This role supports the Weapons Technical Intelligence Enterprise within a global IED threat environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current DOD Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS, two years) degree or an applicable technical field from an accredited college with 3-5 years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field or 5-7 years of professional military experience as an electronic technician
  • Physical ability and commitment to deploy globally as a TXP & AXC-GO team member
  • Understanding of lab processes and workflow for device exploitation efforts
  • Knowledge in global IED devices and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) threat
  • Experience with electronic printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) field
  • Experience with operation of lab instrumentations including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, communication receivers, RF signal generators and handheld digital multi-meters and schematic capture tools
  • Experience developing and supporting the Weapons Technical Intelligence Enterprise
