Job Summary
Electronicien needed to locate and diagnose faults, inspect and repair electrical and electronic equipment including motors, generators and circuit breakers; dissassemble, repair, reassemble, and test equipment; analyze, verify, and repair electronic circuits; install and, if needed, manufacture electrical elements for new machines; read plans and instructions; prepare worksite; take measurements with proper instruments; fill dual control and daily activity reports; use appropriate tools for defined tasks; install safety and protection devices; clean parts and handle components manually with hoist, chain hoist or pallet jack; operate crane for inspections and maintenance; maintain clean work area; receive/store materials and manage physical inventory; perform energy-lockout procedures when required; SDS/union accreditation applies; DEC in electronics and electricity competency certificate required; role governed by the CSN collective agreement; dedicated to hydroelectric technologies and decarbonization of energy; global mission to electrify the world while maintaining reliability and safety; ~40 hours/week with potential overtime per collective agreement; relocation assistance not provided; location: Sorel-Tracy, Canada.
