Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer II

Job Summary

Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design by creating or modifying electronic warfare signal processing and control algorithms. Execute test plans, including simulations and lab tests, to verify system capability while evaluating functional performance of developmental RF systems and firmware. Support integration, verification, and troubleshooting activities in labs and the field, utilizing root cause analysis and advanced test equipment. Compile detailed performance evaluations using tools such as MATLAB and present results to stakeholders. Provide technical guidance to Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads and maintain engineering specifications and drawings. This onsite role in Atlanta supports systems engineering, integration, and test activities across the product lifecycle using Model-Based Systems Engineering and Agile methods.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Computer Science or Physics)
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting
  • Experience with the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
  • Onsite role in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 20%

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Physics or Computer Science)
  • RF system design, digital and analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation characteristics and analysis, and/or algorithm implementation and testing
  • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
  • Experience integrating software and firmware onto electronic hardware systems
  • Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred
  • Experience with tools, such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation
