Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer in JPMorganChase's Equities Electronic Trading team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining market-leading trading technology. Core duties include developing and implementing CI frameworks, automating testing and manual workflows, managing release processes and production support, and ensuring connectivity with exchanges, venues, and dark pools. Requires hands-on expertise across multiple technical areas, including UNIX, scripting (Shell/Python), automation, Git/Jenkins, FIX protocol, AWS/cloud, and Terraform, with 5+ years of experience and a background in electronic trading or capital markets.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge of UNIX, Shell Scripting, Python, automation scripting
- GIT, Jenkins, FIX Protocol, AWS, Cloud, Terraform
- Experience in electronic trading space and capital markets domain
- Front Office / Trade Life Cycle experience
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
