Job Summary

Build systems using engineering drawings and configuration documentation while supporting startup, shutdown, and post-delivery procedures. Install custom cables, wire harness assemblies, and tray assemblies from interconnect diagrams, and produce engineering reports, drawings, and schematics. Perform detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary analyses of data regarding trajectory adequacy and model consistency. Provide technical support to engineers and work within an Integrated Product Team construct in laboratory and field settings. This role requires full-time, on-site work in Palmdale, CA, with up to 25% travel and occasional surge periods. Candidates must hold active US Government Top Secret and SCI clearances, with SAP clearance obtainable within business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies
  • Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards
  • Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc
  • Must be physically able to move up to 50 lbs
  • Must have color vision to identify cables and wires
  • Active US Government Top-Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly
  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation date within the last 5 years, ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs (SAP) and a DOD Top Secret Clearance Primary Level
