Job Summary
Calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot electronic equipment using digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators across Memorial Health System areas. Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on systems including nursing call, intercom, paging, communication, and fire alarm networks. Maintain current shop inventory, adhere to strict safety and infection control codes, and coordinate work to ensure patient and customer satisfaction. Requires four years of electronic equipment repair experience, a valid Illinois driver's license, and proficiency in reading technical schematics.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electronics, Electronics/Electrical Certification/License, or completion of an apprenticeship program or 10 years of experience
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy
- Five year MVR
- Four years experience with electronic equipment repair
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and apply technical information from technical manuals and schematics pertaining to the operation, repair and maintenance of equipment/apparatus
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and apply complex building codes such as NFPA and Joint Commission
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for long periods of time
- Knowledge of basic mechanical applications
- Basic computer knowledge
