Job Summary
Support Technician I and II team members on-site while installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and infrastructure, according to project specifications. Read blueprints and schematics to perform conduit and cable installation, terminate connections, and install components like head end equipment, security panels, card readers, and door hardware. Troubleshoot system failures with advanced diagnostics, assist in system configuration and network integration, and maintain proper inventory of tools and materials. Provide on-site customer training and support while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. This contingent role requires 5+ years of experience in electronic security systems, extensive knowledge of IP-based solutions, and the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electronic security systems or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of IP-based security solutions and system integration
- Demonstrate working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and alarm systems
- Exhibit the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites
- Showcase strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook
