Job Summary
Electronic Technician II to maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment, wiring, and resources in the tube manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include implementing solutions to decrease production downtime through equipment enhancement projects and preventive maintenance procedures; training and mentoring electronic technicians with emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement, and achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals; assisting with equipment installation; providing procedural improvements; participating in Lean Manufacturing activities; and supporting the Maintenance Manager. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field and 10+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of 3-phase power systems, AC/DC drives, PLC/HMI programming, and automation technologies. Within 3/6/12 month milestones, the incumbent will complete immersion training, identify process improvements, and develop training materials while aligning with Atkore’s core values. Compensation ranges from $74,800 to $102,850 depending on competencies, education, certifications, experience, and other factors. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field (ASEET, equivalent or higher)
- 10+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair down to component level
- Knowledge in 3-phase power systems, AC/DC drives, PLC/HMI programming
- Knowledge in induction heating and welding equipment, flying cut-offs, Servo Drive Systems, automated packaging systems and/or robotics
- Knowledge of A/B and Siemens PLC's
- Automation experience
