Job Summary
Electronic Technician II responsible for maintenance, installation, and repair of aircrew simulators and trainers. Tasks include performing basic operation, pre/post flight inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance on complex flight simulators, troubleshooting and repairing networked computer and display systems, high voltage and interface electronics, and documenting repairs and inventory. Requires hands-on use of test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators), ability to read schematics and engineering drawings, and the ability to work across multiple platforms (Windows, UNIX/Linux). Must be physically capable of climbing stairs, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs; willingness to work all shifts and up to 20 weekends per year. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance are required. Position is onsite in Daleville, Alabama.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electronics technology or military electronics training or equivalent
- 2-4 years of demonstrated competence in electronic maintenance and related systems
- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD secret security clearance
- Experience with complex simulator systems and related hardware/software
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux systems and specialized test equipment
- Ability to work shifts and weekends as required
