Electronic Technician 3

Electronic Systems Technician – Level 3 in Promontory, UT, responsible for responding to corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshooting and repairing electronic and electrical equipment, performing preventative maintenance, ordering parts, and documenting work. Collaborates with operations and other crafts to complete repairs, supports plant-wide systems (including lab buildings, X-ray, CNC equipment, water systems, fire alarms, radios), and adheres to safety protocols. Work involves a 4/10 schedule with occasional rotating shifts and travel (about 10%). Key skills include troubleshooting electronics and electrical theory, Ohm’s Law, PLC wiring and basic programming, VFDs, 4-20 & 0-10 signal handling, HART protocols, RTD/TC testing, and safety practices such as LOTO and 5S. Strong emphasis on documentation, parts ordering, and cross-craft coordination.
