Job Summary
Under District Maintenance Manager direction, perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on all electronic systems related to the fracturing process in both field and shop settings. Repair electrical and electronic systems, recording software, field computers, and network equipment while communicating repair progress to colleagues and managers. Execute preventive maintenance, identify problem areas, and assist in remedial action plans and repair scheduling. Maintain electrical and electronic parts inventory by ordering, shipping, and receiving components. Train maintenance and operations personnel on electrical systems, control software, and hardware. Develop understanding of fracturing and oilfield operations. Work in various field locations, occasionally driving three to four hours, with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, and potential electrical shock. Wear required safety equipment including hard hats, gloves, and hearing protection.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics
- Ability to read, speak and write English
- At least 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Sensitivity to confidential information
- Ability to work under stressful conditions at times
- Physical ability to sit, walk and stand
- Physical ability to climb up and down stairs
- Physical ability to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Physical ability to use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment
