Job Summary
Maintain subject matter expertise in electrical engineering and proactively develop skills for future technology advancements. Write PLC programs, troubleshoot electrical systems, and install, maintain, operate, and improve control devices to meet production demands. Collaborate with production teams, administrative personnel, and vendors to generate solutions, advocate for process control and total quality, and train other personnel in electronic troubleshooting. Work with computers, programmable logic controllers, and electronic control devices supporting mill production. This role requires working extra hours as necessary and being on-call during off hours. Boise Cascade manufactures wood products and distributes building materials, offering a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- at least two years of industrial experience with electronics, computers, and control systems
- equivalent technical education
- solid understanding of and ability to troubleshoot electronic components and control systems
- ability to write PLC programs
- working knowledge of PC programs
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work extra hours as necessary
- ability to be on-call during off hours
