Job Summary
Senior Electronic Security Technician III leads installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercoms, electronic locking hardware, wireless locks, and cloud-based security platforms. Serves as on-site technical lead, coordinating installation crews, mentoring junior technicians, and collaborating with Project Managers, subcontractors, and customers. Responsibilities include executing installation and testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, documenting results, providing regular status updates, and contributing technical input to engineering and sales. Requires interpretation of engineered drawings, ability to travel, and proficiency across multiple security platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel as required
- Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems through formal training and extensive field experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, riser diagrams, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, test equipment, and digital measurement tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting electronic security systems
- Demonstrated experience leading field teams or acting as a senior/lead technician
