Job Summary
Electronic Repair Tech Specialist with an associate degree and 10+ years of experience repairs electronics at the component level for complex industrial equipment (drives, PLCs, power supplies, HMIs, laser scanners, motors, circuit boards). Requires advanced electronic/mechanical skills, proficiency with diagnostic tools (Huntron tracker, multimeter, curve tracer, hipot tester), and ability to travel to customer sites. Includes PCB soldering/desoldering, process documentation to ISO 9001 standards, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring of less experienced technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- more than ten years related experience and/or training; or twelve years equivalent combination of education and experience
- expert understanding of electronic components
- advanced level of electronic and/or mechanical skills
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; calculate figures and amounts; apply algebra and geometry; follow instructions
