Job Summary
Install, modify, and maintain SCADA systems, engineering projects, and configuring communications equipment including RTUs, fiber optics, and IEDs. Create and manage software functions, install and support LAN/WAN/Internet systems, and perform system, database, and network administration duties. Train Member Systems personnel on equipment operation, troubleshoot end-user devices, and monitor network availability while driving a company service van and operating a forklift. Be available for system outages, as required, with travel and occasional overtime. Associate's degree in electronic engineering or related field with one to three years of prior experience in electronic technology or military technical training is required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Technology related field
- One to three years of prior experience in an electronic technology capacity or Military technical training
- Operational understanding of computer technology and networking
- Must be able to drive/operate a company service van
- Must be available for system outages, as required
- Must be available for travel and occasional overtime
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with meter repair and previous electric utility experience
- Previous experience with Remote Terminal Units (RTU's), Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED's), and/or radio communications equipment as well as EMS/SCADA System maintenance
- Previous Utility experience
