Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and integrate electronic circuits, components, and systems for aerospace and defense products. Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and validation of hardware and prototypes while performing engineering calculations and simulations to verify design performance. Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and test procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and design reviews. Investigate technical issues, ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field
- U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Additional technical certifications or coursework in electronics, embedded systems, or design software
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience
- Relevant academic projects, internships, co-op experience, or technical laboratory experience
- Experience with electronics testing, troubleshooting, or hardware development
- Understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic engineering principles
- Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and electrical system design
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform engineering calculations, testing, and data analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard engineering tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, testing methodologies, and product development processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using CAD or PCB design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or similar tools
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and electronic firmware concepts
- Exposure to aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with electronics laboratory testing and validation procedures
- Internship, co-op, or project experience involving electrical or electronic system design
- Understanding of industry standards related to aerospace, defense, or electronic product development
