Job Summary
Lead electrical design efforts for ruggedized defense-oriented systems from concept through implementation, testing, and delivery. Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, signal routing, and control interfaces for integrated sensor platforms. Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical documentation using SolidWorks Electrical and industry standards. Apply EMI/EMC design principles and ensure compliance with military and industry standards. Perform electrical load analysis, thermal management assessments, and component selection. Conduct design reviews and support system integration and testing activities. Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software engineers to ensure seamless electromechanical integration. Document engineering specifications, test procedures, and compliance reports. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during prototyping, production, and field deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in defense or ruggedized systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical or similar
- Strong understanding of electrical components, cabling, connectors, and power systems
- Experience with electromechanical integration and system-level design
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
