Job Summary
Ensure student training infrastructure is functional and available by managing users and computers in an enterprise network. Configure Active Directory accounts properly and assist customers in overcoming challenges through monitoring and performance management. Identify problem areas in mission-critical networks, turn metrics into actionable information, and communicate their meaning. Perform routine maintenance including break and fix, backup and recovery, and inventory and asset management. Troubleshoot system monitoring issues and handle workstation and server hardware installation, maintenance, and cable switching. Maintain local group policy, file shares, and account administration while ensuring compliance with security standards. Requires Interim or active Secret clearance, three years of relevant experience, and onsite service center support in Port Hueneme, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess Interim or an active Secret clearance
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Electronic Documentation, System Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration
- Security+ or equivalent Bachelor's degree
- Experience with connectivity, interoperability, operational readiness, and security and compliance systems maintenance
- Experience with systems and hardware and software administration and integration
- Experience with routine maintenance, including break and fix, backup and recovery, and inventory and asset management
- Ability to perform onsite service center support
- Sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer workstation
- Use hands and fingers to operate keyboards, mice, and other input devices
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
- Stand, walk, bend, or reach; Access equipment located in data centers, offices, or under desks
- Lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with multi-media systems support and community of interest (COI) network operations
- Experience with local group policy management and file share, system, and account administration
- Experience with configuration and change management and life cycle support
- Experience with workstation and server hardware installation, maintenance, board replacement, and cable switching
- Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of system development, software maintenance, and ancillary functions
- Knowledge of cyber defense compliance and accreditation services
