Job Summary
Assemble, test, and calibrate portable instruments for natural gas leak detection, including bench assembly, chassis wiring, harness making, and soldering printed circuit boards. Perform simple repairs during the assembly process and record, compute, and analyze necessary test data. Maintain quality standards by detecting faulty equipment and reporting improper operations or unusual conditions to supervision. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining an orderly work area. Assist with customer support for new products and repairs to meet industry demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent preferred
- Must have formal training in electronics technology
- Must have two to five years of experience
- Must be able to stand regularly
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must pass a drug screening
