Job Summary
The ideal candidate will take on a hands-on role in developing and calibrating advanced electron beam systems, addressing complex technical challenges through hardware setup, troubleshooting, and software integration. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed experiments, analyzing experimental data to deliver impactful technical solutions, and ensuring robust calibration and operational excellence. The role requires a strong background in electron optics, experience with scanning electron microscopes, and a PhD in a relevant field. Collaboration with multi-functional teams and global engagement with up to 30% travel is expected.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Materials, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
- solid fundamentals in electron optics, surface science and imaging
- proven hands-on experience with operating and calibrating scanning electron microscopes (SEMs)
- exceptional analytical ability, clear communication, and presentation skills
- related work experience of 3 years (Doctorate), 6 years (Master's), or 8 years (Bachelor's)
Desired Qualifications
- proficiency with electron optics simulation tools (e.g., MEBS, OPERA, ANSYS, COMSOL)
- scripting languages (Matlab, Python, C++)
- experience with semiconductor capital equipment
