Job Summary
Electromechanical Technician at Cargill in Chambly, QC. You’ll be a key player in maintaining and improving the facility’s mechanical, electrical, and automated systems. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical issues, supporting morning production startup, performing fabrication, welding and modification tasks, participating in equipment upgrades, and keeping a clean, organized work area while following food-safety and workplace-safety standards. Must have a DEP in electromécanique or industrial mechanics (Québec equivalent) and at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience; must be legally eligible to work in Canada and 18+, with basic computer skills for maintenance documentation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods; willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice. Prefers TIG welding experience and familiarity with labeling/packaging equipment; knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards; strong communication and teamwork skills; safety-first mindset. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in electromécanique ou en mécanique industrielle (ou équivalent québécois)
