Job Summary
As an Electromechanic, you’ll maintain and improve mechanical, electrical, and automated systems powering the Chambly production facility. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, support morning production startup, and carry out fabrication, welding, and modifications as needed. You’ll participate in upgrades and improvements to equipment, keep the workshop and plant organized, and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards. The role requires hands-on work with production equipment, problem-solving, and collaboration within a safety-focused team, with duties including documentation, maintenance, and occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- 18 years or older
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing)
- Ability to work at heights and overtime, weekends or holidays with notice
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Familiarity with labeling (Bizerba) and packaging equipment (Omori, Ulma)
- Experience in TIG welding (preferred)
- Autonomy and safety-first mindset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
