Job Summary
Electromechanical Technician role in Chambly, QC for Cargill's Food Enterprise division. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automated production equipment; supporting morning startup; performing fabrication, welding, and modifications as needed; participating in equipment upgrades and maintaining a clean, safe plant environment; adhering to food safety and workplace safety standards. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, experience with labeling/packaging equipment (Bizerba, Omori, Ulma), knowledge of HACCP, and strong teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in electromechanics or industrial mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing setting
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- Age 18 or older
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing)
- Ability to work at heights and overtime with notice
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Must be able to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical/electrical systems
- Willingness to participate in startup, production readiness, and safety practices
- Willingness to perform fabrication, welding (T.I.G. preferred) and modifications
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-starter with safety mindset
