Job Summary
The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, automated machinery, and performing preventive maintenance. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. Daily tasks include diagnosing faults, repairing machinery, conducting functional tests, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in electromechanical maintenance or industrial machinery service.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC), mechanical systems and assemblies, sensors, relays, motors, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in automated manufacturing environments.
- Basic PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Welding or fabrication skills.
- OSHA or NFPA electrical safety training.
