Electromechanical Inspector

Job Summary
Conduct inspections on electrical and mechanical commodity products, including Circuit Card Assemblies, Printed Wiring Board assemblies, and cable/wire assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests using precision measuring tools, UV light, and Halo lighting. Review and approve First Article Inspections and identify non-conformances to collaborate with suppliers on resolution. Document inspection results accurately and provide detailed reports to stakeholders. Schedule involves five visits per month to multiple supplier locations; on-going contract duration required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical degree or certification in quality assurance, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Experience in quality inspection
- Experience in electrical and mechanical components for aerospace or related industries
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Skilled in the inspection of CCAs, PWBCCAs, and cable/wire assemblies
- Must be willing to obtain certification as required
- Familiar with aerospace and manufacturing quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Possess a personal cell phone
- Willingness to use a personal laptop onsite for reporting purposes
- Must be computer savvy
- Willingness to use Verify Global web based email account
- Willingness to work in manufacturing environments
- Willingness to travel to multiple supplier locations
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around manufacturing and inspection areas for extended periods
- Capability to lift and handle objects up to [Insert Weight] pounds as needed during inspections
- Fine motor skills for handling precision measuring tools and delicate components
- Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) to perform detailed inspections
- Consent for Background Check (every 4 years)
- Consent for Drug Screening, based on program requirements
- Completed Eye Exam based on program requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AS9102 Rev C
- Familiarity with inspection methods as required per JSTD-001 and/or IPC-610
- Use of UV light - 4x magnification
- Use of Halo lighting
- Use of inspection tools to accurately measure keep out areas
