Job Summary
Perform essential entry-level manufacturing and assembly tasks for miniature Cartridge-Actuated Devices (CAD) and Propellant-Actuated Devices (PAD). Operate assembly equipment under close supervision, execute mechanical and electronic assembly, and weigh and press pyrotechnic powders per approved procedures. Read technical drawings and travelers, perform self-inspections for quality compliance, and accurately report run times and quantities. Maintain assigned equipment and work areas, promptly reporting out-of-tolerance conditions or issues to supervision. Requires one year of manufacturing experience, ability to read technical drawings, and familiarity with standard measuring instruments. Position is onsite at Oxnard, CA, with a temporary start subject to direct hire after required hours are met.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and travelers
- Basic math skills
- Familiarity with standard measuring instruments (SMI)
- Preparedness for working conditions that involve exposure to machinery, chemicals, noise, and explosives
