Job Summary
Follow drawings, diagrams, and verbal instructions to assemble small internal electrical and mechanical components, soldering, riveting, and press-fitting parts onto printed circuit boards or panels. Connect lead wires between components, assemble cables and harnesses, and drill or cut parts as needed. Perform quality checks on products and troubleshoot simulator parts after assembly while maintaining routine area and equipment cleaning. Consult with supervisors to plan work activities and execute other duties as necessary within the Electronics department. This role requires direct supervision from the Team Lead and indirect supervision from the Department Manager.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or its equivalent
- 1+ years of electromechanical assembly background
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Able to follow detailed written and oral instructions
- Experience in a production environment
- Must be efficient and careful not to damage items
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to organize items
- Frequent use of the arms, hands, and fingers is required to perform functions such as reaching, grabbing, pinching, picking, holding, and turning
- Frequent use of hand and power tools weighing up to 15lbs
- The employee is interchangeably required to sit, stand, and walk during their shift
- Employees may be required to bend, stoop or kneel to grab supplies and or materials
- The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull or move objects across the production floor, weighing up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to hear, understand, and distinguish sounds and speak clearly
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be willing and able to work some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled hours if needed
