Job Summary
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair electronic instrumentation, controls, electrical wiring, and mechanical devices in the Composite Can plant. Dismantle equipment to access defective parts, inspect used components for dimensional changes, and adjust functional parts of control instruments. Assist with production line changeovers and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using test equipment like multi-meters to diagnose electrical issues. Follow detailed preventative maintenance schedules, lubricate and clean parts, and observe devices in operation to locate trouble causes. Comply with all plant safety requirements and housekeeping policies while working overtime and night shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years' experience in Maintenance on Industrial machinery in the manufacturing industry
- understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Set-up and operation of various welding equipment, lathe, milling machine and other shop related equipment
- Experience using basic electrical troubleshooting tools, e.g. ampere meter, voltmeter
- Basic welding skills
- Must be able to correctly follow housekeeping policy
- Able to work overtime and night shift as required
- Able to work effectively with all plant departments as well as vendors and corporate employees
- Ability to develop and implement a project to successful completion with little direction or management involvement
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC desirable
