Electromagnetic Compatibility Project Leader

Job Summary
Lead EMC project delivery for the IGT-S portfolio with ownership of day-to-day EMC planning, coordination with labs, quality, engineering, and regulatory teams, and timely delivery of EMC activities. Act as custodian of EMC deliverables, ensuring CSA-approved CBTC readiness weeks before major releases, maintain visibility on shop-floor and lab activities, and drive robust EMC test planning, certification interactions, and issue resolution. Collaborate across engineering, regulatory, quality, lab, and supply chain for alignment and compliance; develop and continuously improve EMC test plans and procedures in line with international medical device requirements; resolve technical and operational issues with cross-functional experts; manage external testing resources and certification bodies; enhance lab quality and readiness; and contribute to the longer-term EMC roadmap. You’ll be based in Philips offices in Best (Netherlands) with in-person presence required at least 3 days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of EMC design, testing, validation, or certification experience
- Strong hands-on EMC experience
- Experience leading EMC project activities in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Experience with certification bodies such as CSA and regulatory requirements related to EMC standards
- Knowledge of global EMC standards (IEC, CISPR, FCC) and medical device EMC standards
- Ability to be close to the work (labs, daily execution)
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Experience with ISO 14971 is a strong plus
- EMC certifications such as iNARTE or CISPR-related qualifications are a plus
