Job Summary
Perform comprehensive troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment while executing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Set up machinery in coordination with the shift supervisor to align with production timelines and maintain adequate spare parts inventory levels. Ensure all work complies with ISO standards, safety rules, and plant housekeeping guidelines, reporting unresolved issues to management. Foster continuous improvement concepts within the team and provide necessary training to colleagues. This role requires expertise in electrical machinery, mechanical systems, and blueprint interpretation, with a preference for PLC and pneumatics proficiency. Required Qualifications
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical machinery
- Profound understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulics
- Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to repair and assemble equipment
- Proficiency in computer-based machine software navigation and interpretation
- Strong emphasis on safety compliance, maintaining a safety-first approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to interact at all levels within the organization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC, AC/DC, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Previous 2-4 years of vocational and/or maintenance technician experience
- Technical degree from an accredited institution
- Independent, proactive working style, adept at managing multiple projects in a high-demand environment
- Comfortable with precision hand movements when operating machinery
- Experience operating hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers
- Ability to handle hazardous materials safely
- Normal color perception and eyesight correctable to 20/20
