Electro Mechanical Technician

Job Summary
Conduct assembly, testing, maintenance, repair, deployment, and operational support for SHiiELD products, equipment, tools, and assets. Disassemble and clean components to prepare for maintenance, then troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assets at the individual component level. Perform thorough recertification assessments of sensors to ensure compliance with quality standards and performance specifications. Assist service and field technicians by preparing, loading, and unloading equipment for shipping and receiving as directed. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Global Training to obtain new product information and troubleshoot design or testing issues while following ISO 9001:2015 directives. Travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight stays. Requires a high school diploma with electronics experience preferred, IPC training completion, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work standing for eight hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to lift and hold up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for up to eight (8) hours per day
- Strong hand-eye coordination with the ability to manipulate small electronic and mechanical assemblies
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely and properly use hand tools and small power tools used in the fabrication of electro-mechanical devices
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic technology
- Working knowledge of electronic digital and analog circuits and hardware, firmware, and software used in data logging applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) training courses: Electronics Assembly for Operators, Wire Harness Assembly for Operators, and J-STD Course
Desired Qualifications
- Associate and/or Bachelor's degree in Electronics
- Certificate of completion in an electronics discipline
- Prior electronics experience
- Successful completion of IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) training courses: Electronics Assembly for Operators, Wire Harness Assembly for Operators, and J-STD Course
