Job Summary
Electro-Mechanical Technician role within Leidos' Defense Direct Energy Division pipeline posting. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and building/test/deploying production and prototype hardware, assembling electrical and/or mechanical systems for DoD, operating/repairing high-power equipment, building control boards and safety interlocks, troubleshooting with engineering, setting up field experiments with sensors/instrumentation, data collection and archiving, and maintaining spares inventory. Preferred qualifications include経験 with high voltage/current power systems and familiarity with Costpoint/Solumina/Agile/Windchill; active Secret clearance is a plus. Role is based in Albuquerque, NM, with candidate residency or relocation required; overtime/weekend work may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in a High Power Microwave environment or related experience/training
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Experience reading schematic drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Experience building and installing electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and wire crimping tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to relocate to Albuquerque, NM metro area and work overtime/weekends as needed
