Job Summary
Interpret drawings and use critical thinking to build, fabricate, test, and deploy production and prototype hardware for DoD systems. Assemble electrical and mechanical systems while performing cable fabrication and installing assemblies using hand tools, torque wrenches, and wire crimping equipment. Stand or sit for long periods in a production environment, working with diverse teams to solve complex problems. Occasional overtime is required as operational needs demand. Candidates must be US citizens eligible for Final Secret or Secret clearance and reside in or relocate to the North Alabama area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment or related experience and/or training
- Experience reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation
- Experience building and installing electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
- Familiar with basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and wire crimping tools
- Ability to perform cable fabrication work
- Mechanically inclined
- Good work ethic and responsibility
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Occasional overtime as operational needs demand
- Candidate must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama area
- Must be a US Citizen
- Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
