Job Summary
Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for installing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment. Maintains reliability and efficiency of systems, ensures safe and compliant operation, and supports line upgrades and changeovers. Performs diagnoses of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues; conducts root-cause analysis; adheres to GMP and safety protocols; works with minimal supervision to maintain a clean, safe work environment; contributes to implementation of new technologies and equipment integration.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, relays, and frequency drives.
- Proven ability to read and interpret product manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with compressors and ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
- Proficiency with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) preferred.
- Experience with pumps and packaging systems preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
