Job Summary
Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks to support production projects. Work from schematics and instructions to construct developmental assemblies and subassemblies, assemble parts, and position and fasten units using hand and power tools. Inspect, test, and troubleshoot subcomponents and completed units with standard bench tools; disassemble faulty units and replace parts. Document deviations and process steps for quality assurance, package products for shipment, and maintain a safe, clean working environment. Requires following step-by-step instructions, with emphasis on documentation of actions. Preferred IPC certifications (J-STD-001, A-610, A-620) and aerospace quality control (AS9100) experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one to two years of experience in the assembly, testing, or diagnostics of mechanical or electrical assemblies.
- Certification in IPC standards: J-STD-001, A-610, A-620 (preferred).
- Prior experience in aerospace quality control (AS9100) and manufacturing environment preferred.
- Manual dexterity, mechanical visualization, arm/hand steadiness.
- Ability to read mechanical or electrical drawings (preferred).
- Experience building from work instructions and following written/verbal instructions.
