Job Summary
Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment including belt tracking, component adjustment, and lubrication. Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures. Create and close work orders into the asset management system with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems, locate spare parts from inventory, and respond to service calls to correct equipment failures. Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them. Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. Shift schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with Wednesday and Thursday nights off. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational technical training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typically, vocational technical training
- Demonstrate a basic mechanical knowledge of a technical or specialty area
- Proven experience in area of responsibility
- Successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above
- Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
- Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours
- Overtime and occasional weekend work
