Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Job Summary

Analyze wiring diagrams and system drawings to install and troubleshoot CNC equipment while performing preventive and predictive maintenance using the CMMS system. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, modify PLC programs to fit production needs, and complete assigned work orders and projects timely. Collaborate with engineering on continuous improvement of production processes and work with equipment manufacturers on proprietary programs. Notify supervisors of dangerous equipment and adhere to safety standards, including required PPE and hearing protection in a noisy environment. Requires formal apprenticeship or in-plant training, minimum four years of industrial millwright/electrical experience, and ability to climb overhead structures.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal apprenticeship or completion of in-plant maintenance/programming training (OJT) program
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others
  • Ability to work all shifts, flexible hours and mandatory overtime
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work without constant supervision
  • Able to read schematics
  • Must have a minimum of 4 plus years of industrial millwright/electrical experience with low 5VDC to high 480V/3Phase electrical systems
  • High School diploma or GED or prior experience/training in manufacturing environment
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, policies, and rules
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company
  • Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs
  • Must be able to stand, bend and stoop
  • Must have own tools
  • Must wear hearing protection
  • Must wear safety glasses
  • Must wear gloves
  • Must wear steel toed shoes

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with glass tempering and Insulated Glass (IG) processes a plus
  • Familiar with AC/DC power and PLC experience preferred
