Job Summary

Lead system diagnostics and machinery recovery by performing advanced technical diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and precision repairs on high-capacity industrial automation, complex robotic cells, and integrated production machinery. Troubleshoot industrial PLC networks as the primary onsite technical authority, executing signal tracing, program monitoring, and logic optimizations on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms. Interpret complex engineering drawings to isolate faults, maintain power and fluid networks through preventive maintenance and rebuilds, and execute machinery modifications using precision welding and fabrication tools. Collaborate cross-functionally with plant leadership to eliminate unplanned downtime while providing informal technical mentorship to junior technicians. Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of dedicated industrial machinery maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Residence within a dependable daily driving radius of the Greater Milwaukee / North Shore area
  • PLC program monitoring and diagnostics (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)
  • Industrial robotics
  • High-voltage AC/DC electrical networks
  • Advanced pneumatic and high-pressure hydraulic circuitry
  • Shop fabrication/welding
  • Verifiable, progressive background maintaining and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical machinery inside a fast-paced manufacturing facility
  • Proven experience interfacing with, monitoring, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing lines, industrial sensors, robotic arms, and major PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / Logix or Siemens TIA Portal)
  • Solid hands-on expertise rebuilding fluid power components (pneumatic valves, cylinders, hydraulic pumps/actuators) alongside safe high-voltage AC/DC electrical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with shop machinery and industrial welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) to support rapid equipment repairs and structural modifications on the floor
  • A consistent, rock-solid work history demonstrating long-term commitment, exceptional attendance habits, and personal accountability with past employers

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct experience teaching paths, setting up payloads, or troubleshooting I/O on FANUC, ABB, or KUKA robotic platforms
  • Hands-on parameter tuning and commissioning of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and multi-axis servo drives
  • Exposure to vibration analysis, thermography, or oil analysis tools for condition-based machine monitoring
