Job Summary
Maintain day-to-day operations of facility equipment and physical assets on the plant floor to ensure maximum capacity with minimum downtime. Perform routine preventive maintenance, complete work orders following proper procedures, and clean spills in work areas. Assist the Maintenance Technician II on projects, monitor outside contractors, and coordinate special tasks as directed. Alert the Director of Maintenance regarding unusual occurrences or damage and ensure all activities comply with GMP and regulatory requirements. Observe mechanical devices to locate trouble areas and train lower-level staff on equipment installation and repair. Carry a cell phone for on-call maintenance and interact with operators to determine defect solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Requires at least 5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with OSHA rules and regulations
- Excellent communication, coaching and training skills
- Ability to multi-task – possess analytical skills and critical thinking skills
- Must agree to variation in work schedules/hours and overtime
- Must be on-call occasionally
- All overtime is mandatory
- The shift needed is Monday-Wednesday 4:45PM-5:00AM
