Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated material handling equipment and industrial machinery, with emphasis on electrical systems, conveyors, motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse-related equipment including pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain logs per company policy. Comply with safety guidelines such as Lock Out/Tag Out and secure the battery-charging area. Complete CMMS work orders and perform light maintenance duties as assigned. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm with overtime and emergency response as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training or trade school degree
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
