Job Summary
Design and develop sophisticated automated cutting and marking systems, driving the technical design of system architectures including plasma and oxy-fuel torches, advanced consumables, gas control, and machine integration. Produce comprehensive product documentation, lead robust test processes, validate mechanical designs for reliability, and present results to cross-functional teams. Support prototyping, collaborate with global engineering groups, provide applications support and live demonstrations, partner with field service engineers for optimization, contribute to technical training programs, and travel domestically and internationally to support customers and strategic initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline
- 5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience
- Proven experience troubleshooting large complex electro-mechanical machines
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Solid computer literacy and familiarity with engineering software tools
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD modeling and industrial product development
- Hands-on electromechanical prototype build capabilities
- Experience with microcontrollers and PLCs
- Knowledge of various communication protocols
- Laser operation and safety familiarity
- Familiarity with heavy industrial facilities, equipment and safety protocols
