Job Summary

Electro-Mechanical Designer responsible for designing and optimizing processes, tooling, fixtures for manufacturing dry-type LV power transformers up to 25 kVA; assist in establishing transformer testing and quality processes; generate wiring diagrams, wire lists, panel/enclosure layouts, and BOMs; design and modify mechanical enclosures and brackets; support manufacturing in optimizing interdepartmental workflows; perform design calculations to adapt existing designs to different voltages and troubleshoot issues; support first-article builds and tests; create engineering change notifications and documentation; experience with CAD (SolidWorks), BOMs, and SAP/Salesforce; Hybrid Work Environment in Exton, PA.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree
  • 3 years related work experience
  • Familiarity with UL, NEC, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience designing and/or manufacturing dry-type, low-voltage power transformers (3kVA–25kVA)
  • 3D CAD modeling skills; SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of design, inspection, and testing of sheet metal and mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics, panel schedules, and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with enterprise ERPs (Salesforce and SAP)
  • Experience contributing to kaizen and continuous improvement events
  • Experience designing control enclosures to address cable size, density, dress, bend radii, strain relief, etc.
