Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Summary
Assemble and repair complex electronic and mechanical recoil kits, magazines, and less-lethal accessories using surface mount and through-hole soldering techniques. Operate microscopes, voltmeters, and digital scopes to troubleshoot small electrical components and hardware, while reading assembly drawings and multilevel bills of material. Perform daily production builds in a high-reliability environment, manage time logs by project code, and execute shop cleanup and organization. Comply with ISO 9001 processes and firearm safety protocols, utilizing proficiency with hand tools, drills, and grinding wheels. Manage and log time worked daily by project code.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate some electrical Circuit board assembly and repair skills
- surface mount soldering experience
- through hole component soldering skills per IPC-A-610
- basic solder skills using quality soldering techniques
- limited understanding of electronics
- ability to use basic test/troubleshooting tools such as volt/ohm meters and basic digital scopes
- Good Dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- ability to work using a microscope for extended periods
- Proficiency with mechanical hand tools (wrenches, screw drives, pliers, etc.)
- basic machine tools (drills, Dremel tools, grinding wheels, drill press, band saw, etc.)
- Basic electrical assembly aptitude
- Experience in a high reliability manufacturing environment
- ability to accurately read and interpret assembly drawings
- ability to read a complex multilevel bill of material and pull parts required for production builds
- ability to follow work instructions and perform repeating tasks in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment
- Must have a desire to learn
- Have some programming skills using Atmel or similar software
- Meets all the level 3 MAT requirements at a minimum
- Must be comfortable working with firearms and follow safety protocols
- Full time position consisting of 40+ hours per week
- normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
- This position may require long hours and weekend work due to production, rework or customer deadlines

- High school or technical school graduate
- 5 years previous experience in electrical assembly
Desired Qualifications
- Small part assembly experience a plus
- IPC-A-610 certification a plus
- Basic principles of stock management and part procurement are a plus
