Job Summary
Assemble subassemblies, alter parts for fit, and run machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, and saws to build unique automated machinery from bare frames. Modify components based on function, manage cable routing per schematics, and troubleshoot wiring and machinery after assembly. Collaborate with engineers to improve designs and assist in scheduling and task management for assembly operations. This role supports an Engineer to Order company that custom-builds equipment on-site before shipping to customer facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience assembling large packaging machinery or similar automated equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including control panel wiring and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
