Job Summary
Build up and assemble units in passenger coaches, including roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels. Connect wires between component leads, cut wire to specified lengths, and route, twist, wrap, and attach terminals. Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble components as required while working from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and parts lists. Use fine motor skills to assemble small parts with excellent dexterity in a high-energy production environment. Requires high school education or GED, experience with electrical panel assembly, and ability to read diagrams. Base pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.14 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Experience with electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive or electrical service industries
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly
- Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Perform work overhead
- Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of reading of blueprints, diagrams and various part list is helpful
