Job Summary
Electro Mechanic needed to support Tropicana Brands Group's Supply Chain Team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production line and facility equipment; performing predictive and preventive maintenance; assisting with installation of new equipment or layouts; operating production line equipment; maintaining housekeeping and following GMPs; participating in emergency response; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires 3–4 years of food-processing maintenance experience, own tools, machining and welding skills, ability to troubleshoot pumps, read schematics, electrical construction and instrumentation, PLCs, and familiarity with CMMS, Windows, and MS Office. On-site full-time role located in City of Industry, CA; must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience in food processing
- Must supply own tools
- Machining of parts using a lathe, mill, grinders, ect.
- Welding (preferred) - arc, heli-arc, plasma, sanitary
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps – both centrifugal and positive displacement
- Ability to troubleshoot systems through reading schematics
- Skilled in electrical construction
- Skilled in the use of electronic testing equipment with the ability to simulate bench testing procedures
- Experience with utility-related equipment boilers, water systems, air compressors, HVAC
- Experience with automated and high-speed packaging equipment
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer applications
- Strong electrical and instrumentation skills, and experience with PLC
- Knowledge of AC/DC drives and related electrical controls
- Must be located in City of Industry, CA surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
- Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Courses from a junior college or technical institute, job-related seminars, or ongoing education
- Previous verifiable experience as maintenance mechanic in manufacturing (minimum of 1 year)
