Job Summary
Electromechanic needed at Cargill in Chambly, QC to maintain and improve mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in a food production facility. You will work hands-on with production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, support morning production startup, carry out fabrication, welding, and modifications as needed, participate in equipment upgrades and improvement projects, and maintain a clean, safe plant environment while adhering to food safety and workplace safety standards. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, familiarity with labeling and packaging equipment, and knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards; excellent communication and teamwork skills; safety-first mindset; relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- 18+ years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, stand for long periods
- Basic computer/software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Willingness to work at heights and overtime, weekends or holidays with notice
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to support morning production startup
- Experience with fabrication, welding, and modification tasks
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
