Job Summary
Electromechanic position in Chambly, QC for maintaining and improving mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in a food-production facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical systems, supporting morning production startup, performing fabrication and welding tasks as needed, participating in equipment upgrades, and ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. Requires a DEP/équivalent in electromechanics or industrial mechanics and at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience; must be 18+, legally eligible to work in Canada; ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods; basic maintenance documentation software knowledge; willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice; knowledge of HACCP/food safety and strong teamwork and communication skills. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Ability to work at heights and overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
